All on 4 Payment Plans

Understandably, the cost is one of the most significant factors when it comes to considering All on 4.  But, don't despair, there are many ways you can pay for your All on four treatment.  To help you navigate all the different payment options and understand what to look for, I have compiled a list of the most popular All on 4 payment plan options available.

You may notice that a lot of practices now offer All on 4 Payment plans.  The majority of All on 4 payment plans offered are through a 3rd party provider.  While some dentists might have partnerships with 3rd party providers, these are not the only solution you have available to you.

You should never feel pressured into using one particular option just because that what the practice suggests.  All on four will probably be one of the most significant financial decisions you will make in your life so do your research and ensure that you are basing your decision on what is right for you and your particular circumstances.

How much is All on Four?

Before deciding on which All on 4 payment plan suits your needs you will first need to know how much it costs. If you are researching All on 4 costs online, you will see that they can vary greatly.  Costs generally range from about $17,000 - $30,000.

Understanding the reasons behind the variations in cost requires a bit of research so that you know exactly what you are paying for.  To help you I have written a three-part series on understanding All on 4 costs which you can read here.

The cost for All on 4 here at Macquarie Street Centre is from $29,000. You will find many cheaper quotes when comparing online and there are various reasons for this.  Usually, because it is not the price for the entire All on 4 procedure and there are always 'extras'.  More information is available on this in my All on 4 costs series mentioned above.

What are my all on 4 payment plan options?

Below I have listed in detail All on four payment plan options that may be available to you and a handy checklist to use when you are comparing plans.  Some choices listed are widely known, and if you have been researching All on four, you have probably already considered these.  But some, like early release super, is an option that many people have never considered, nor did they know was available.

Personal loan for All on 4

Most banks now offer speciality dental or medical loans. When considering a personal loan, you will want to look at the interest rate quoted for the life of the loan.  Interest rates can vary dramatically. The most significant determining factor when it comes to interest rates is your credit history so if you have an excellent rating - this may be a good option for you.

Using your Superfund for All on 4

If none of the above options are available to you, you may be able to apply to use your super on compassionate grounds for medical treatments (such as All on four).  This is known as Early release super (ERS).

You can also apply to get early super release to pay these costs for your partner, child or another dependant.  Some conditions come with this option which you can read about on the Australian Government website here.

It’s also worth noting that the early release of super on compassionate grounds will only be granted to help you cover unpaid costs. If you’ve already paid those costs, even by using a loan or credit card, you won’t be able to access your super.

There are also companies that will help you navigate the application process (for a fee) such as SuperCare.

Considering going overseas for All on 4 treatment?

If you've been doing your research, then you would have noticed that there are a lot of overseas dentists advertising targeting Australians to get their All on four treatment done overseas.

Be very wary when considering this option and be sure to do all the research you possibly can so that you completely understand the risks associated with this.

To further help you understand the possible complications from getting All on four treatment in another country you can read my article on All on 4 costs Thailand here.

Is All on 4 worth it?

This is a question that I get asked a lot from my patients.  Finding real, valuable reviews by past patients is very difficult as legally dentists are not allowed to post patient reviews of treatments on their website.

One way we can find out how patients feel is by looking at published studies.  One study published in 2012 focused on patient satisfaction with the All on 4 procedure. Patients answered questions about comfort, function, speech, social image, social inhibitions, psychological discomfort, and disabilities.

95% of these patients described themselves as extremely satisfied or satisfied with their new teeth. 98% would recommend similar treatment1.

For more information on patient satisfaction on the all on four treatment, you can read my All on 4 Reviews article here.
