Andrew had lost some of his front teeth many years ago after being kicked in the face by a horse. He was also missing a number of back teeth. While he had a dental bridge covering the gaps at the front of his smile, the bridge and tooth roots that held it in place were failing. With the front tooth bridge fracturing, it was time to look at more long-term treatment options. Andrew also wanted to avoid dentures.
A complete assessment with 3D imaging of Andrew’s tooth roots and bone beneath the gum determined that further treatment of these teeth would not likely be successful or cost-effective. The more predictable solution was to remove the damaged teeth and replace them with All-on-4.
Andrew had his remaining teeth removed and dental implants placed while under twilight sedation in one visit. A few days later, he returned so Dr Dunn could check the fit and appearance of his tooth bridge and make any adjustments. On his 3rd visit, his new Classic bridge was placed and he could finally get back to life with a secure, functional and natural-looking smile.
